The rapid growth of touristic complexes over the past 50 years has geographically led to an expansion of Maspalomas, albeit without a city center that has been growing naturally over decades.
There is not a kind of downtown, only towns and villages that once existed to serve as accommodation for the temporary plantation workers and today belong to the outskirts of Maspalomas.
One of the oldest and for many decades important of these villages in the south is El Tablero, originated on a plateau in the northern part of Maspalomas.

Nevertheless it is important to mention that the length and spots of the journey then depends on your kid's fitness an patience. But as the guide is a father too, the goal is to make the whole event as exciting for your kids as possible. Because if they get annoyed, parents get annoyed. So we work hard on avoiding this and make this fun for the whole family.
