Geocaching is a global outdoor adventure game where you can use your smartphone to find hidden containers, known as “geocaches” or “caches,” at specific locations marked by coordinates. Think of it as a modern-day treasure hunt!
Geocaches can be found in urban and rural areas worldwide, and they come in various sizes and difficulty levels. When you find a geocache, you can sign the logbook inside and sometimes trade small items. It’s a fun way to explore new places, enjoy the outdoors, and be part of a global community of adventurers.

Geocaching is a fantastic activity for young kids and teens, offering a blend of adventure, education, and outdoor fun. It encourages outdoor exploration, development of problem-solving skills, promotes physical activity, fosters teamwork and cooperation, teaches navigation and technology use.

The best part: it instills a sense of adventure with the thrill of the hunt and the excitement of finding a hidden cache that can spark a lifelong love for adventure and exploration. Whenever you are somewhere on this planet you can check if there is a cache to find nearby.

We will keep our journey simple, but you will quickly notice that thanks to geocaching you will go to places that you would never think of getting to. But many of these spots offer spectacular views, or a special surrounding.

You will learn that within the application each cache has a difficulty level by terrain indicator, to prepare yourself for that cache.

The minimum that a geocacher carries around is it's smartphone and a pen. The smartphone helps you find the cache and with the pen you can - hopefully - log your finding onto a paper or a small book that can be found inside the cache.

For our session all you will need is your fully charged smartphone, footwear like sneakers or sandals that allow you to climb or crawl, sun cream and a small bottle of water. If you have, bring a camera with you as on the flip to the cache you might find some photographic inspirations.
